My Abby-girl

I thought I would share a few pictures of my sweet Abby-cat. When My Airman was TDY, she kept me company through those four long months. I'm glad we have her, because I just know I wouldn't have made it through those quiet nights last year without her! :o)

I had just awakened her; can you tell? :P
I guess even cats need their coffee sometimes.

Guess who?

I think she considers this to be her throne;
it's her favorite seat in the whole house!

My, my, my! What a busy blogger
Arlene has been. :) I've had some catching up to do this morning.

You have a beautiful cat. She has the sweetest little face. We have an outdoor cat named Tom. Isn't that original? He's a gray Tabby and one of our favorite pets around here. He's very people friendly. Just a different kind of cat. He'll let you do pretty much anything to him and he loves to be around us and others. He just kind of showed up on our doorstep around this time last year and never left. LOL

I'm glad you posted the chicken recipe too. I'm actually having chicken tonight, so I'll give this recipe a try. :)

And I think it's great you have a date night. Even when baby comes, try to keep one. It's so important, Arlene, in keeping in touch with your spouse and, believe it or not, it helps to make a better Mommy out of you by keeping your sanity. Plus, hubby will need the attention. LOL

Good posts! Thanks for sharing. And give Abby a cat snack for me.

Hello! Happymama referred to you in her post today and wanted us to tell you, "Howdy!". :) From what I have seen so far, you seem to be a very sweet, Christian couple.

Arlene, I was just looking at your profile again and it says that you met your airman when HE moved to Japan. I'm assuming you were already there? Were you a MK or in the military, or am I misreading it? Just curious. I'm so nosey, aren't I? LOL

Hello Arlene-
I also saw your blog in Kristi's today. Congratulations on your baby!! Are you going to find out boy or girl? I have a six week old son and we didn't find out - the surprise was so much fun! My dad spent a year in Japan for the Marines - it was before me though so I never got to see it but he is it was beautiful!

Tiffany, thanks for visiting me! I think we're going to see if we can find out, but if we can't, that's fine with us, too. At what base was your dad stationed? Okinawa? Iwakuni? I've never been to either of them (we're up north in Misawa), but we love it here just the same.

Kristi, I'd like to see a picture of your Tom-cat; give him a pat "from me." :) I do love kitties myself... Nathan is a dog-lover, but he lets me keep Abby to make me happy. I do catch him snuggling with her, though! ;o) As soon as I sign out, I'll make sure to give my Abby a treat "from you."

Oh, and my dad is retired AF. We PCSd here in '95, and he retired here when my mom's father had a stroke (she's actually my stepmother, and she's Japanese). Anyway, after I graduated from high school, I felt the Lord leading me to stay here. Then Nathan moved here less than a year later, and I figured out why. ;o) Don't worry, I'm just as nosy as you are! :P I don't mind your questions; it makes me feel as if we're talking in person. :~D

Let me know how the chicken turns out!

Mrs. B, I didn't know you had a cat; I remembered reading about your doggies, but not about your kitties. Do you just have BoBo, or do you have others, too?

Courtney, it's nice to meet you! Glad you stopped by for a visit. I'll have to do the same when I have more time. :~)

Phew! I think that's everyone! If I missed replying to your comment, I promise I'll get it later! Off to run some errands :)

What a sweetie! Reminds me of the stray who was living in our yard for several months. The night before I was going to catch her and her kittens and take them to the animal shelter they all disappeared. We haven't seen them since :(
