Things are normalizing around here

Well, my hubby is back on a more predictable work schedule again. Thank the Lord for that! I was really getting frustrated with myself, my son, and the supervisors! One thing's for sure: I was given a taste of what being a single mother might feel like, and I never want to be one!

Although, given my husband's line of work, the undesirable prospect will most likely present itself late next year... Ah, well. The sacrifices and privileges go hand in hand, don't they?

Are they talking about sending him next year? Brandon will probably be gone end of next year. Japan, here I come, haha!

Yeah. It depends on whether he reenlists, of course. But, pretty much his AEF comes up toward the end of next year, or beginning of '09. You're going to stay with your mom and not Marie? I wanna come! Caleb and I can hide in one of your suitcases, lol

You know, I dont even know when Brandon's AEF is. I dont even think they use that. There are so many TDY's with the cv-22.. it's insane. Hopefully Nathan doesnt get deployed, and if he does, hopefully it's after Christmas!

Yikes, I don't even know what all those acronyms stand for! :) That said, I hope he isn't sent overseas - because even though I love my freedom and am so thankful for our military who put their butts on the line every day, it's still a scary thing.

LOL, Vicky, don't worry -- sometimes I don't even know exactly what the acronyms stand for... I just spout them off! I often have to explain them to friends who weren't military brats like I was, so you're not alone!

Nathan has been to Afgh*nistan, but he wasn't sent on any convoys, so that was a great relief to me. I am trying not to worry about where he might be sent next and just enjoy the time we have right now... which is hard for a worry wart like me, LOL!

Laura, I'm undecided on when I'd "like" for him to be depl*oyed. I'm kinda thinking it would be better if it were during Christmas. Otherwise, he'd end up missing Valentines, Caleb's birthday, my birthday, and our anniversary.

*sigh* At least we have a good church that will keep me busy and keep me company whenever Nathan does go...
