I almost forgot...
today also marks one year of nursing!
You know what that means?
We've got the GOLD ribbon!
Woo-hoo! We made it!

Good for you! :) I've spent 5 years of my life nursing, but it was worth it. ;)

Way to go! Doesn't it feel like an accomplishment?? But also, incredibly easy at the same time. I am down to nursing just 1x per day and I really miss it! You are blessed, a lot of women don't make it even to 6 months. :o)

Hi again! I saw your reply to my comment on an older post.... Yep, Mikaylah has on occasion bitten me while nursing, but it wasn't out of anger or anything, it's usually because she is very hungry (first morning feeding) or if she is upset and wants to nurse, she will do it then. I read somewhere to tug their hair, but she never had much, so I resorted to the "flick the cheek" method. I've only had to do it a couple of times (and not too hard) but it sends the message - Don't Bite Mama! :o) They learn fast, especially if they are the type that likes to nurse.

Yay!! Doesn't it seem crazy how fast a year can go, and what changes can come about? I recall my early nursing troubles with Peapod, and not even believing that I could bear to make it for six weeks, but here we are at fifteen months. The time certainly flies, and we learn soooo very much in such a short time. Motherhood is amazing!
