Before and After

Well, I've been growing my hair out ever since the unspeakable incident at SuperCuts last year, and it's finally to my shoulders again.

Here's a tip: Never ever ever get a cheap trim just to save money. It's not worth it! Lesson learned the hard way... I still want to cry when I think about it. *sigh*

Anyway, when we were trying to pay off our car, coloring my hair was one of the things I gave up. Obviously, it helped! It's been a year and a half, and I surely did miss it...

After today's appointment, I've been smiling all day. My honey likes it, too, so that's a plus! :o)

P.S. We're heading out tomorrow night for about 2 weeks visiting friends and family. If you think of us, keep our travels in your prayers, please! :o)

P.P.S. I just noticed Abby's tail in the second picture. Oopsie! Too late to take another one! LOL :P

I have another tip, learned by a fellow foster mom...never let your teenage foster daughter cut your hair!
Ya think?! Oh, did I laugh when she told me that....

I had a salon trip like that too! I came home crying my eyes out. My husband was sad that it was cut, but relieved that's all it was. He "thought it was something serious." "It is serious!"

I have a phobia of salons for that very reason.

I love the cut and color, very pretty.

Enjoy the trip and visiting!!

Arlene, I've learned that lesson too:s Your hair cut and color does look pretty.

Oh by the way...earlier this week my husband talked to your preacher and setup a time to come to your church and show our missions presentation. I'm not sure of the the exact date, but I think it's sometime in November. Anyway...I hope you have a great trip.

Lene, it looks great! I love it, and I'm happy for you that you get to be able to start getting your hair done again. Hey, it's nice to have your little luxuries!

Cute cut! I think we've all made that mistake at least once. I know I've come home in tears a few times. Especially when a "trim" turned into 4 or 5 inches instead of the one I was hoping for.

Oh and I understand having to go without having my hair colored. When we decided that I would stay home that's one of the things that we cut out of our expenses. Since I worked at a hair salon, I used to have my hair trimmed and colored every 4-6 weeks.

Now, I probably get a cut once every 3 or 4 months and color once or twice a year. Boy is it ever nice when it gets done. I think I appreciate it more this way!

I didn't know about your unfortunate hair incident!! Ugh!

I've sworn off Cost Cutters, Super Cuts and the like simply because of BAD haircuts there in the past - they assure me there is a stylist who knows how to work with my kind of hair (thick, coarse and wavy) but they never do. It's the pits!

Your cut/color looks GREAT!! Don't you just love getting your hair colored? I first did it only a few years ago but it is such a treat - it leaves your hair silky soft and very shiny! Very pretty, Arlene! And it looks so nice just in time for your vacation! ;)

Hope y'all have a great trip and that Caleb is a trooper on the long drive! (Beware of bad mosquitoes in WI!!!)
