This is why, should the Lord ever bless us with a daughter(or daughters), we will never willingly vaccinate any of our children with Guardasil. I'll certainly not be getting it myself, in case you were wondering.

There are plenty of other articles available regarding this topic.
Be informed. Do your research.

HPV Vaccine Blamed for Teen's Paralysis

A month after 13 year old Jenny Tetlock was vaccinated against the HPV virus, she missed the lowest hurdle in gym class. It was the first sign of a degenerative muscle disease that 15 months later left her nearly completely paralyzed.

Her father, Philip Tetlock, a professor at UC-Berkeley, has embarked on an odyssey to find out whether the vaccine, Gardasil, is to blame.

Tetlock is not the only one concerned. The public watchdog group Judicial Watch has been periodically obtaining adverse event reports on Gardasil from the FDA. 10 deaths have been linked to Gardasil since September 2007, and there have been 140 reports so far this year of serious side effects such as miscarriage and Guillain-Barré syndrome.

It amazes me when parents blindly trust doctors without seeming to realize that doctors are human too. I believe that it's important for parents to do their research when it comes to their child's health.

Jenny's family has a blog that updates on how she is doing, etc. It's such a sad story. :(

Here is her blog address -- http://www.jenjensfamily.blogspot.com/.

I did a blog post on this vaccine a while back. What gets me, is that parents THINK their child needs this. WHY?? Are they loose with boys at such young ages? Have these younger women (18 and older) had so many partners that they need to protect themselves? Now, I know there are those who probably did live that kind of lifestyle and have turned their lives to Christ, but in the case of our daughters, if we want to try and protect them from this disease, we need to know what they're doing and who they're with! I think, in the case of most Christian parents taking their daughters for this shot, they are totally uninformed about how this cancer comes about.

Live right...die right.

Hi Arlene,

Thank you for posting this! I hadn't heard of any side effects from this vaccine, so I am thankful to know about them (of course, that is not something they want out in public!!!).

Until recently, I was adamantly AGAINST getting this shot for my daughter. However, someone got me thinking and after much prayer, I am (er, was - until this article) considering this shot. Let me tell you why . . .

I was not planning on getting her the shot in the off-chance that she would be protected should she become sexually active at a young age (I believe the shot is only available to those up 'til age 26). Rather, I would have elected to have her get it in hopes she would not contract cervical cancer from her future husband.

Yes, that's right - her husband.

Seems weird, I know. But I pray for her future spouse already. I do not know what kind of man he will be. I hope he is a pure man, like I hope my daughter will be pure. Chances are, though, he won't be.

I was in a similar situation, although I didn't know my husband's past until AFTER we married. I deeply love this man and am committed to our life together, but it hurt me very deeply. Then, I contracted genital warts from him (and he got them from a previous sexual partner - blah blah blah).

While he could not undo his past (though he had claimed a secondary virginity, it still didn't take away the warts), it DID affect my future. I had remained pure until we married, but unfortunately, due to his choices, I was affected as well. It may sound strange, but if I can spare my daughter from that - if I can spare her from dying from a cancer that she could avoid (since men can carry HPV and pass it on to their partner), then I may just do it.

I still have much to read and learn about this vaccine, as my mind is not 100% made up. But for me, the justification is there, and it's much different than what a lot of people would think.

I'm so sad for all these girls who are having to deal with the aftermath of really BAD decisions by the adults around them. I know these parents thought that they were doing right but you can't go against God's laws without reaping a consequence. I'm so sorry for Jenny and all those effected.
That's the good ol' United States FDA, continuing to experiment on gullible Americans and we're not even getting paid for it!
Free lab specimens!

Wow... Very sad story... not the first vaccine to induce such tragedy. Thanks for the article.
